No, it's not my name, just something that came up at the moment. It comes from the Russian word "baboushka". I love how Russian sounds. Baboushka is 'Grandma' or 'Scarf?'
I have not heard enough Russian to like of dislike its sound. But I do love languages. They're music to my ears! dick g Yes it means "grandmother", I don't know about scarf. Also some use it to refer to Matryoshka dolls. I love languages too, Wish I knew a lot more.
It seems to me that my mom would use the word
Baboushka to mean scarf when we were kids in Duluth Minnesota. But meaning: Something a woman would wear on her head, after forming a triangle with a square cloth ~ and not the long cloth we kids would put around our necks to keep out the cold. Just how I remember it...and I'm hardly an expert on Russian. I do know DOSVIDANIA, or something like that. THANK YOU... dick g I see, I'm far from being an expert also(I know like, 10 words in Russian). I think it's "dasvidania"(Goodbye). Anyway, you're very welcome
THANKS Dew! What a wonderful thing to say.
