The End of the Road by richardcgreen The End of the Road by richardcgreen
The Quixote and Sancho have wandered straight into
Purgatory (Creek in Eden Prairie)...and it appears that the Don's
Tilting Days are numbered, even tho the horizon looks rather
tempting. This is the latest painting in a series subtitled The End of
a Long Winter or PAINTING WHERE I LIVE.
It is an ambitious work which challenged my patience to their
utmost limits. I DON'T ENJOY DOING SO MUCH DETAIL...
Watercolor on d'Arches Cold Pressed 150lb paper 18x24"

this is wonderful  and I love the stories around the two. I do habe a DonQuixote here as a statue because of that.

I'm glad you find it acceptable. My particular
interest is my 2011-2012 quest to place 'stories'
in the area where I live. This lake (Staring) is like
Walden for me...a place of peace and escape.
So glad it works...THANKS!, Lhianne!!!

Peace to YOU too...

I'm glad you like this painting. It WAS rejected by
a W/C group...so THANKS. The landscape ~sans Wind
Generators, is near my home in Eden Prairie. Oddly, when
I saw 'DQ', my mind went to Dairy Queen!!! That's current
ad lingo having its effect on me. Thanks, Alan....

Kind regards: Dick Green

Amazingly done! The reflections on the water are amazing and flowing! And the different textures you applied are quite good!

Thanks Kaleb for having noticed my
Quixote piece. I usually shun detail, but
made an exception with this piece!

Greetings from..
