This Rorschach study is based on watermedia and should rightly
take its place near Mouse Majestic. The figure passerby was a
last minute thought to try to add some immense scale to the
lionesque fantasy. Anyway, I had fun doing it.

What surface do you paint on?
Is it Yupo?

Hi - I've heard of Yupo, but have never tried it. I use W/C blocks, Arches usually
18x24 or the largest block I can find. Or, I use Strathmore W/C board, usually
hot press, smoother surface. I do use gesso, but only to make textural 'things'
happen. I never coat with gesso, although I often will dilute a W/C hue with
white gesso and pour it. There -that exhausts it...thanks for the inquiry:

Ahh ok,
I was wondering how you got the amazing textures that you did.

And as soon as I saw it,
It reminded me a lot of yupo paintings.
I've never tried the myself either, but I hard they're amazing for texture and repeated layers.

Thanks for replying,
I appreciate it =)

Amazing work,
can't wait to see more!
