Hero Worship by richardcgreen Hero Worship by richardcgreen
I thought the days of 'playing' with my finished watercolor paintings in Photoshop had come to a
screeching halt...but clearly, I was only kidding myself. This latest submission had been sitting around my desktop
for at least half a year, and I finally decided to 'finish it off.' By the way, the Original Painting is definitely a part
of my gallery. Wonder if anyone out there can tell me what it's called!?

Very nice....
I love the pastels you use in contrast to the darker colors.

THANKS So much, Angel. (THAT sounds better than calling you TOXIC).
I thank you for your comments. You might like know that I've never been into
'using' pastels (chalks) and I now realize you may be referring to the rather
Pastel-ish Colors that are there. The original of the piece is a watercolor painting
(see the first response, one page back I think to see the actual painting I used)
with some Prismacolor Pencils (Prismacolor is a brand name...just a waxy pencil).
THANKS for the FAVE and the FAVE on We Bough to Winter too.
We're no longer bowing to winter ~ we're embracing Spring, wholeheartedly!!!

Hugs: richard

YOU are quite observant to mention that. I had thought of giving it an Alien Catalog Number.
But...I didn't. I feel that my Rorschach days are over Trish....it was getting too gimmicky for me
to go on with it, There are plenty of subordinate aliens lurking around in the paint, and you've
got your trusty glass out. Then there's that little fellow x2 at the bottom, rather kicking the base of
our hero ~ out of respect or disgust! So NICE to hear from you...I have been off all week, on Spring
Break. My last day of driving ~ for eve r~ will be June 5th, so I am getting a lot of stuff taken care
of ~ like Medicare Health Insurance and Supplemental Health Insurance...and exercise and shopping.
Tonight we are to get about 10" of slushy snow. It'll end soon....

Take care...hugs Dick

Gosh your winter stays a long time!!!...Hope you get health care sorted. We have the National Health Service...which is for everybody. We have problems but all together we are lucky.Of course we can pay privately if we like.I pay for dentistry after having trouble finding a good one in the NHS....You still have to pay towards that anyway!!

I'm not really too sure what Obama did to improve our
healthcare system ~ one of the worst in the world. He was hampered
by the Republicans from the very start. I have one commenter/friend
on dA who is on Obamacare ~ and he wishes he weren't. Time will tell.

STAY HEALTHY ~ Think I'll brush my teeth...

I never could resist a visual challenge. And a scavenger hunt was a wonderful excuse to wander through your gallery...delightful. :sherlock:
I haven't discovered it yet, so I'll have to come back this evening and try again.

Yes, you are right...it's always nice to take the time to 'go slumming' through one's gallery, even our own!!! THANKS
so MUCH, Yvette. You will find the answer, just north of this response, the one to Myron. Hope you guys are safe
where you're living. I'm always a worrier with my son in Seattle. Glad he escaped that mudslide and the helicopter
that fell from the sky. Sometimes, if not always, we just HAVE to live IN THE MOMENT.
Kindest regards, Richard

All is well here.  A few days of much needed rain (without any major mudslides in my neighborhood to worry about). This morning I awoke to clear blue skies, and enjoyed the sun while it lasted. The rain clouds are beginning to shift back in now.
Living in the moment...(smile). :sun:

Just marvelous submission.  Looking through your fine gallery my guess would be the work may be based on your Turbaned Angel.

Arrested Development by richardcgreen Myron~ You are a winner (in my book) for two reasons: You're the first
to comment ~ and lovely it was ~ and you took a stab at the original painting, which is at left. One
dead giveaway, albeit miniscule, is that little fellow at bottom, looking up at 'his hero.' He was just a
drip of a happy accident.
THANKS so much for visiting my gallery..again. You're my hero!</b Richard

Hey, Richard,
Well I see that now, and my eye should have found it, but that's so kind of you to say.
Your a hero to me also; just as always find your work some of the best here on d/A.

Once again, Myron, you've made my day. We have much to share, you know, all the way from PSA readings...to all this crazy art surrounding us, every day.
Things could be worse...Thanks again for helping me get through.
