Early Days_The St Paul Cathedral by richardcgreen Early Days_The St Paul Cathedral by richardcgreen
I did this painting while attending the only workshop I've
ever attended...in May of 1998, from Cheng Khee Chee:

I came ready with a bunch of photos from which to paint.
The lesson was on 'Wet on Wet.' You may want to follow
Chee's methods by clicking the link provided. He's an
amazing painter...and he liked my painting!

I love your use of colour in this painting and I feel it is flowing up which gives it a very inspirational feel. Beautiful work!

THANKS. I guess I wasn't feeling such inspirational zeal
when I did this painting in a workshop. I just wanted to
get through it - and the instructor, Cheng Khee-Chee, did
like it. THANKS again!

Best wishes:

THANKS. I was probably trying harder than normal, as I was
attending what was to be my only workshop, ever attended. (I'm
not too big on workshops - I want to paint like ME, not anybody else
teaching me THEIR techniques!). Have a great day, GT...

Alan - I think I rather surprised myself, as it was
done the first day of the ONLY WORKSHOP I've ever
attended. Good things sometime happen...in this country!
THANKS...dick g
